GAP (GTACSR / GZTACSR) Conductors are advanced High-Temperature Low-Sag (HTLS) conductors designed to operate continuously at up to 210–250°C while maintaining reduced sag and improved ground clearance. Their unique construction—consisting of a high-strength steel or heat-resistant alloy steel core, surrounded by thermal-resistant aluminium strands, separated by a viscous high-temperature gap compound—allows the aluminium layers and the steel core to expand independently. This reduces mechanical stress, minimizes creep, enhances long-term reliability, and significantly extends service life. Ideal for both reconductoring and uprating projects, GAP-Type conductors offer a cost-effective method to increase power transfer capacity without modifying or raising existing transmission towers, making them a highly efficient and future-ready upgrade for modern power networks.
